2025/11/19 USD/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's USD/JPY call: Buy.
Will yesterday’s resistance become today’s support?
Price is falling in the short term, so I’m waiting for downside stalling and a reversal.
Scenario A
Buying the dip after price breaks above the recent high.
It’s ranging right now, so the scenario is to buy once an upward wave has formed.
Target is 156
Scenario B
If Line C holds as support and the downside stalls, I’ll buy.
I’m keeping the same target as Scenario A, but watch out for Line A and the high around 155.7.
Scenario C
After a break below Line C, wait for a retracement and go short.
The 4-hour chart’s buying structure hasn’t broken down yet, so the near-term target is around 155
Review

It played out as Scenario B.
A long from ○1, where price was supported by line C and formed a double bottom.
It easily broke through the 156 pink line target, so I moved my stop-loss level to make it risk-free and left it alone.
The yellow line is a key horizontal level I had drawn on the weekly chart, so this was the obvious place to take profit, closing either manually or with a limit order. 140 pips
As it turned out, price extended further and is still rising, so it would have been fine to carry overnight into the next day.
If you couldn’t get in at ○1, entering from ○2 in Scenario A works too.
