2025/11/10 USD/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's USD/JPY call: Buy.
The market is getting easier to read, but I think it’s best to wait for a proper pullback before buying.
Scenario A
Line A looks likely to act as resistance, so if you’re going to buy, it’s better to wait until price breaks above Line A.
Buy on a pullback after it breaks above Line A, targeting around 154.3–4.
Scenario B
The cleanest setup is to buy after price drops to around Line C.
I’d like to wait until then before buying, but there’s also a chance it rises from around the pink line between A and B.
It’s a tough call whether to buy around the pink line or wait for a drop.
You’ll have to decide while weighing the risk-reward.
Target is 154; if it breaks above, same as Scenario A
Scenario C
If price breaks below Line C, I’ll sell, expecting it to drop another leg lower.
Target is 153.3
Review

It played out as Scenario A.
On the 1-hour chart (H1), it was a day of nothing but a steady climb with no pullback.
I went long from ○2 after price broke above Line A, but momentum faded near the highs, so I exited. 13 pips
If you were buying along the lines of the faint arrow from the morning, buying from ○1 would have been fine too.
Since price was near the highs, you need to be ready to exit as soon as momentum drops, or you’ll take a painful hit.
