2025/09/10 USD/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's USD/JPY call: Buy.
On the 1-hour timeframe, it looks like there may have been a bullish shift.
On the 4-hour, this is a spot where selling the rally would come into play.
I’m looking to buy on the 15-minute, but it’s also fine to wait until price breaks out either up or down before considering a trade.
Scenario A
If price breaks to the upside, it would be moving back into the 4-hour range.
In that case, I’ll aim for the next line up.
Target is 147.9
Scenario B
In this price zone, either selling or buying is fine.
The idea is to enter from either end of the area between Line A and Line B.
That said, if you prioritize the 15-minute flow, it’s a buy.
If buying, the target is up to Line A.
If selling, a double top is forming on the 1-hour, so you could also expect a break below.
Scenario C
If price breaks below the 15-minute range, the bias aligns to the downside across the board.
I’d like to short the retracement after the break.
Target is 146.4
Review

The market didn’t move, so no trade.
Price kept going back and forth slightly above the level I had seen as the range low.
It wasn’t a data release I considered very important, but some people may have been stopped out by a sudden drop like the one in the red circle.
