2025/11/13 GBP/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's GBP/JPY call: Wait and see.
The bigger trend is bullish, but this isn’t a spot where I can buy right now, so there’s no need to force a trade.
If I’m going to trade the smaller moves, I’d lean toward selling.
Scenario A
If price pushes above the Line A area, it may turn into an upward move.
I’ll wait for a solid pullback before looking to go long.
We’re still near the highs, so be careful.
Target is around 203.9, assuming the high gets broken.
Scenario B
Looking more closely, the 15-minute chart still has a bullish bias, but the buying momentum has faded, and it feels more like selling the rally on the 1-hour chart, if anything.
This scenario is to sell after seeing price turn down (making lower highs) near the top of the small 15-minute range.
Target is around 202.6.
Scenario C
Selling the rally after a break below the small 15-minute range.
Target is also around 202.6.
None of today’s three scenarios will stay valid for long.
I think the market context will change soon.
Review

It played out as Scenario A.
The trade is a long from ○1, the pullback after the break above Line A.
You could also buy on the dip just before ○1, but on the 15-minute chart it looked a bit like the market was wary of further downside, so it’s safer to confirm the price doesn’t break the low again and go long from ○1.
Price got stopped several times just short of the 203.9 target and started losing momentum, so that’s where to take profit. 54 pips
After that, although it’s late at night, a long from ○2 also looks good.
