2025/04/22 GBP/JPY trade strategy 15-minute chart

The GBP/JPY trade strategy for 2025/04/22 is to sell.

The chart is losing momentum day by day, but the higher timeframe picture has barely changed since last week.
I’m looking to sell until price breaks above 189.5.

On the day-trading level, the bias is currently to sell.
The chart looks like it’s just breaking below 188, but I feel it won’t move sharply without some kind of fundamentals driver.
If shorting under Scenario C, wait for a retracement and confirm that the upside is capped before entering.
The target is around 186.2.

For Scenario B, be careful: depending on how the chart moves from here, the bias may have turned to a bullish bias by the time price approaches 188.8.
You need to build your strategy in line with Dow Theory and update it whenever the chart changes.

The target for Scenario A is around 189.5.

Review

The first half was a sell on Scenario C.
A short at either of the ○1 points. I think the second peak was the easier one to enter from.
Price didn’t fall all the way, so if you held, it was a breakeven exit.
There were clear signs that the decline had stalled and a rise was coming, so if you managed to take profit, it was about 50 pips.

After that, price rose and made a bullish shift.
Go long from the double bottom at ○2, or long at ○3 when price came back once more, and take profit at 188.8, which was the key level in the morning.
Since this was late at night, if you set a limit order and left it, taking profit on the rise after ○2 is fine too. About 35 pips.
