2026/06/09 USD/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's USD/JPY call: Sell.
The daily chart is near the highs and the 4-hour chart is rising. The 1-hour chart still looks like it’s rising, but it feels like some players may see a bearish shift and start selling the rally.
If price fails to break above the daily high, it will drop from here, so if it starts turning down (making lower highs), I’ll consider selling.
I want to see how that move plays out.
Review

It was Scenario A.
In the first half there was a chance of selling, so it’s fine to have gone short from around ○1.
In that case, you’d exit at breakeven or a small loss. About −5 pips.
The MA was firmly providing support on both the 1-hour and 4-hour charts, so passing on it was also a valid option.
After that, a clear upward flow developed, so the play was a long from the small pullback at ○2 after the break above Line A.
It didn’t reach the target, so take profit where the rise stalled at the next line up. 15 pips.
Since price was near the highs on the 4-hour chart, this wasn’t a situation to hold.
I think taking profit when it reached the first line would also have been fine.
