2026/04/15 GBP/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's GBP/JPY call: Buy.
I didn’t get the scenario out in time, but there was a good buy point just before 10 am JST (01:00 UTC).
That position is now at a point where taking profit would be fine.
The red line just above Line A is a key level, so it’s a good place to close out the position for now.
From here, if price breaks higher, I’ll wait for another pullback to go long.
If it drops, it turns into a range, so if it bounces near the range low, I’ll buy.
If it breaks below Line C, I’ll treat it as a bearish shift for day trading.
Review

It was Scenario B.
The area around Line C is the range low on the 1-hour chart (H1).
You might be tempted to go short at ○1. In that case, you exit when price rises with higher lows.
Line C has been broken, but price hasn’t broken below the recent low, so it’s a tricky situation where it’s hard to judge whether the break is real.
After that, the trade is a long from ○2, where price clearly makes higher lows.
Being at the range low on the 1-hour chart (H1), the risk-reward is good, so you can buy it as higher lows off the range low.
Take profit is where momentum fades near the recent high. 34 pips
