2026/04/13 GBP/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's GBP/JPY call: Sell.
The week has opened with a gap, so I think it’s fine to wait and see until things become clearer.
If price breaks above Line A, you could aim for short-term buys, but it’s hard to say whether the bigger trend is still bullish or has made a bearish shift.
If it starts turning down (making lower highs), I think selling is the way to go.
Review

It played out as Scenario A.
I was waiting to sell after a turn down (lower highs), but instead of turning down, price actually turned up (made higher lows), so I went long from around ○1.
Considering the possibility that the bigger picture has made a bearish shift, I took profit near the recent high. 40 pips
Here, you could also wait for a clear turn down (lower highs) before taking profit, but you might end up giving back some of your gains.
After that, it’s also fine to buy from ○2, the pullback after price broke above the recent high.
