2026/02/26 USD/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's USD/JPY call: Sell.
On the 15-minute chart (M15), this is a spot to look for selling the rally, but on the 4-hour chart it feels like a pullback might be forming.
The near-term sell target only goes as far as the blue line around 155.7, so I’ll either wait for a proper retracement, or, depending on how the price action shapes up, switch to looking for a buy aimed at the 4-hour uptrend.
For now, this isn’t a situation to jump in right away, so I want to see how things develop from here.

It was Scenario C.
As planned, I went short at circle ①, selling the rally from Line C.
However, after the target was reached once, the following retracement started to look like it was forming higher lows, so I exited. 10 pips
After that, with the uptrend on the 4-hour chart in mind, you could also try buying around circle ②.
If you buy here, place the stop-loss level a little below the lower blue line, but the 1-hour chart (H1) is still in a selling trend, so you’ll need to be patient.
When two timeframes are moving adversely to each other, price tends to behave like this, so deliberately skipping that price zone is also a good choice.
Even if you skip setups like this, you can still earn plenty of pips.
