2026/02/20 GBP/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's GBP/JPY call: Sell.
For now the bias is to sell, but price is sitting in an awkward spot, so both selling and buying look tricky.
It seems best to treat this basically as a range and trade cautiously.
I’ll consider entries with a solid-looking key level at my back, based on the risk-reward to the target.
Review

It was Scenario A.
Long from circle ①, a pullback on the 5-minute chart (M5) level after the upside break.
Take profit when the target of 209.5 was reached. 52 pips
Holding for one more wave can sometimes let the trade run further, but taking profit when the target is reached, then entering again if price comes back, is what makes day trading efficient.
Under Scenario A, you could likewise go long from circle ②, but since it was before a data release, there’s no need to force it.
