2026/02/13 USD/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's USD/JPY call: Buy.
The daily and 4-hour charts are falling, but price is starting to show downside stalling near the recent low on the daily chart.
The 1-hour chart has already stopped falling and moved into a range, so I think we can buy from levels with a good risk-reward relative to the range width.
The bigger trend is still down, so selling from around Line A is also a valid strategy, but for now the chart doesn’t really look like one I’d want to sell.
Review

It was Scenario B.
A long from circle ①, where the decline stopped at the pink line near the letter B.
It didn’t reach the target, so I took profit when it turned down (making lower highs) at the top of the 1-hour range. 54 pips
After that it dropped on the data release, so a short from circle ②, a retracement on the 5-minute chart (M5) level, would also have been good.
It was a day with easy-to-read price action.
