2026/03/19 USD/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's USD/JPY call: Buy.
For now I have a bullish bias and am waiting for the short-term decline to stop.
Price has also broken above the high on the 4-hour chart, so I’m still looking for further upside, but the daily chart and weekly chart feel like they’re near the highs.
I think the most likely area for a pullback is around Line C, so I’m waiting.

I waited for a pullback near Line C, but price broke below Line C.
Selling from circle ① under Scenario C is an option, but the stop-loss level ends up far away, so with the blue line at 159.14 as the target, the risk-reward isn’t very good.
After that it’s outside the plan, but you could go short at circle ②, where price turned down further and looked ready to drop.
This is a spot where you sell while staying wary of a bounce from the recent low, so it’s an entry that requires the judgment to exit right away if you think it’s not working.
Earlier on, you might have been tempted to buy around the blue circle, but if you bought there, you’d need to get out once you saw it turning down afterward, or you’d end up getting stopped out.
