Dec 19, 2025 GBP/JPY Trade Strategy

Today's GBP/JPY call: Buy.
This is basically a market where I’m only thinking about buying.
Around the blue line is a place where I can buy.
On the 4-hour timeframe it’s forming a two-tier range, so until price breaks below the C line, I basically have a bullish bias.
I’ll wait for a chance to buy from a pullback where a horizontal level or similar acts as support/resistance (S/R).
If price comes down, you could consider a short-term short like the blue arrow, but in that case the target is the C line.

Scenario A, the move up, played out.
As I wrote in the morning, this was a market where only buying made sense, so the plan was to wait for a spot to buy based on horizontal levels, support/resistance (S/R) and the like.
The clearest one is the red circle.
After breaking above the recent high once, price came back down, and the long was an S/R flip bounce at the pink line.
The 20 MA was also holding price up, which made it an easy buy.
After the entry, price shot up and broke through the 210 target.
After that, although it was a slightly awkward spot, I took profit where it started to look like a double top near the round number. 149 pips
In the end, it kept rising after that, but since it was Friday night, there’s no need to push it.
