About Me
Hello, nice to meet you. I’m Frog, and I run 20ma.com. I’ve been trading FX for 20 years.
When I started FX, you could still trade with 100x leverage even in Japan, and regulations were much looser than they are today. I went into FX without knowing the first thing about it, but I remember how thrilled I was the first time I made over 100,000 yen on a single trade.
But luck like that doesn’t last. The losses started piling up, and I was mentally cornered. Once that happens, you keep making unnecessary entries and cutting losses over and over, and you win less and less. Before I knew it, I had lost several million yen.
After that, I tried building automated trading programs based on indicators, attended all sorts of seminars, bought expensive trading products… It took me a very long time to arrive at my own answer.
After several years of trial and error, though, I finally built a trading logic that lets me trade repeatedly with the same perspective and the same thinking, and make a profit. I’ve always been good at programming, so these days, alongside trading, I spend my time building handy tools that support trading and creating websites.
About This Site
As its subtitle “Notes for Becoming a Winning Trader” suggests, I created 20ma.com to share information that helps people aiming to become FX traders. I built it hoping to keep even one more person from giving up after setting out on the path of an FX trader, or from taking the long way around like I did.
Once you get good at FX trading, you end up with lots of spare time in your day. And because trading is something you do entirely on your own, traders can be pretty lonely.
I also hope this site can help you find fellow traders who trade the same way, and become a place for communication.
This site, 20ma.com, has two main types of content: “FX Learning Notes” and “Daily Trade Strategy“.
About FX Learning Notes
In FX Learning Notes, I compile the knowledge and skills you should know, aimed at everyone from FX beginners to people who already have some knowledge. Even after you start winning a bit, something can trigger a losing streak. I want this content to be something you can use to get back to basics at times like that.
For intermediate traders, I’d also like to introduce more practical trading techniques you can actually use. It will be updated irregularly, so stay tuned.
About Daily Trade Strategy
In Daily Trade Strategy, I explain each day’s trade strategy through three scenarios. You can use it as a reference for how to read the market on that day at that point in time, and I think you can also apply it to your actual trading.
I post every weekday while the charts are moving, and I try to publish the day’s strategy in the morning.
The pairs covered are USD/JPY, which I can recommend to most people, and GBP/JPY for those who want to earn more pips.
You can’t make good use of a trade strategy unless you understand it correctly, so please also see “How to Read the Trade Strategy“.
From the next day onward, I post an update as a “review” showing how the morning’s trade strategy played out.
The content lets you check the trade strategy published in advance against how it could actually have been put to use.
Be sure to check it out every day.
